Reiki is an energy healing method that was developed by Usui Mikao in the late 1800’s in Japan. The word Reiki means “Spiritual energy”.
During a reiki treatment, the client relaxes their mind and body and through their intent, receives whatever energy they may need at this moment in time. The reiki practitioner, in alignment with this intent, allows the reiki energy to flow through them as the vessel, and this healing energy is transmitted to where it is needed most.
Some people experience this healing energy as heat, tingling, a sense of deep peace, well being, relaxation and clarity. As a result healing can occur on multiple levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Reiki healing can be accomplished in person or through distance. This is possible because at a fundamental level we are all energy, and all energy is inter-connected. Through a special technique it is possible to forward energy through space and time. Receiving a distance healing is a really good option if you cannot come in physically for a treatment, and you can remain in the comfort of your own home.
For In Person and Distance Reiki Healing, we will begin with a consultation to find out what is most coming up for you right now, as well as any areas you wish to focus on. During the treatment, you will lay down on a treatment bed fully clothed (for in person reiki healings), or somewhere quiet and comfortable such as your bedroom (for distance reiki healings). After the treatment we will discuss anything that came up during the session.

“Immediately felt strong yet gentle currents of energy in the form of a warm tingling sensual river streaming from my head down to my left foot. It intuitively felt like my feminine aspect was the focus of the healing through the session. I was in and out of conscious awareness, and fell asleep a few times during the session. This continued and then shifted to a powerful feeling of bright white light flowing through my 3rd eye and up toward the crown of the my head, flooding my whole head with light.
